GNPC (The Guam National Physique Committee)

 MaryAnn Pangelinan is the President of GNPC. Pangelinan's priority includes strengthening the communication with the IFBB.  In addition, she will focus on rebuilding the local federation to be able to send competitive athletes to the World Championships.

The other officers of GNPC are Carmela Rapadas as Executive Vice President,  Tony Morrison as Vice President and Athlete Development, Kenneth Rios as Treasure, and Steve Oshiro as Secretary.

The Guam National Physique Committee continues to promote the sport of bodybuilding and body fitness.

  • GNPC Annual Membership Fee:  $50
  • Contest Registration Fee:  $35.00
  • Registrations and fees are due at least 2 weeks prior to the schedule contest date. Late registration will be accepted with an additional $15.00 late fee. 

    Membership Fee and Registration Fee are subject to change.
  • Registration may be submitted online through email at maryann_pangelinan@hotmail.com  (Registration Forms will be available at a later time)
  • Male Bodybuilding Divisions: 

    1. Junior
    2. Open
    3. Masters

     Male bodybuilders may choose to enter in more than 1 division:  Junior & Open OR Open &  Masters.
  • Female Bodybuilding Divisions:

    1. Open
    2. Masters
    3. Body Fitness/Figure

    Female bodybuilders may choose to enter in all three divisions.

 

Men's Bodybuilding Weight Class

  • Bantamweight: Up to and including 143.30 lbs. (65k)
  • Lightweight:  Up to and including 154.32 lbs. (70k)
  • Welterweight:  Up to and including 165.34 lbs. (75k)
  • Light-Middleweight: Up to and including 176.36 lbs. (80k)
  • Middleweight:  Up to and including 187.39 lbs. (85k)
  • Light-Heavyweight: Up to and including 198.41 lbs. (90k)
  • Heavyweight:  Up to and including 220.46 lbs. (100k)
  • Super-Heavyweight: Over 220.46 lbs. (100k)

    GNPC reserves the right to combine weight classes.

CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS

Music (for Bodybuilding Only)

  • Must supply your own music on a CD.
  • Music must be at least 60 seconds, no more than 90 second. FYI:  DJ will be instructed to stop music at 90 seconds.
  • Posing music must be the only music in the CD. Please write your first and last name on the CD.
  • CDs will be collected at the night of the weigh-in.
  •  If you fail to submit your posing music, the DJ for the event may or may not provide you music for your posing round.

Posing Suit for Bodybuilding

  • Presentable posing suits must be worn.  Thongs or T-Back posing suits are not permitted.  Posing suits may be of any material, but must be a solid color. 
  • Female bodybuilding suits may not have sequins, glitters, rhinestones, and no jewelry may be worn.

Men's & Women's Bodybuilding

  • Competitors will have 2 Rounds

    Prejudging Round 1 - Comparisons of Compulsory Poses Initial Poses

    a. Front relaxed followed by Front Double Biceps

    b. Side Chest

    c. Back relaxed followed by Back Double Biceps

    d. Abdominal & Thighs


          Compulsory Poses


     a.  Front double biceps

     b.  Front lat spread (men only)

     c.  Side chest

     d.  Back double biceps

     e.  Back lat spread (men only)

     f.  Side triceps

     g.  Abdominals and thighs


    2.  Finals Round 2 - Posing Routines

          Each competitor will perform an individual posing routine to music of his choice.

    3.  Finals Round 3 - Compulsory Poses and Pose down
        
    Each division finalist will perform the 7 compulsory poses with the addition of the "Most 
            

    Muscular pose.  As soon as the compulsory poses are completed, the competitors will perform a  60-second pose down to music of the organizer's choice (This is the only round that will not be scored).

Women's Body Fitness/Figure

  • Competitors must have 3 posing suits:

    1. Prejudging - Round 1 (Two-Piece Bikini)

    Attire of Round 1 - The Two-Piece Bikini must be solid black in color, fabric must be cloth (no plastic, leather, or shiny type material), high-heels for this round must be black, classic stiletto pump with closed toe and closed heel (absolutely no platforms), and heel must not exceed 5 inches in height. The hair may be styled, jewelry on the other hand may not be worn (wedding rings and/or small stud-type earrings are accepted).

    2. Prejudging - Round 2 (One-Piece Swimsuit)

    Attire of Round 2 - The 1 Piece Swimsuit may be of any color, material, texture, and design, high-heel must be the classic stiletto pump with a closed toe and closed heel, however, color of high-heel may be of any color, heels must not exceed 5 inches in height, and must not be platforms high-heels, hair may be styles, and jewelry may be worn within limits. 

    3. Finals - Round 3 (Two-Piece Bikini)

    Attire of Round 3 - The Two-Piece Bikini may be if any color, material, texture, and design, high-heel may be of any color or design, but heels must not exceed 5 inches in height, hair may be styled and jewelry may be worn within limits.


    All Posing Suits must cover at least ½ of the gluteus maximus and must cover all of the frontal area.

    Presentable posing suits must be worn.  Thongs or T-Back posing suits are not permitted. 

    Additional powder/lotion with glitters may not be worn.

  • Each Round will consist of four quarter turns:

    a. Quarter Turn Right
    b. Quarter Turn Back
    c. Quarter Turn Right
    d. Quarter Turn Front
