1. How do you sign up for the competition for Nov 5th? Where can I learn more about it?

Answer: Contact Maryann Pangelinan. Learn more about it here at the site. We will keep you inform of upcoming meetings or changes. Rules and regulations are posted here under Categories "Rules"

2. Just wondering if the show that was on September 24th has been moved indefinitely to November 5th or if there are two separate shows?

Answer: The one in September was moved to November 5th, 2011. There is only one show!

3. How do I qualify?

Answer: To compete in the Guam Nationals Bodybuilding & Bodyfitness Championships you only have to reside on Guam it does not matter how long. For example, someone in the US Military and their dependents, stationed on Guam, can compete in the GNPC BB&BF Championships. The GNPC welcomes and encourages members of the military to compete and in fact the military was well represented last year.

However, every 4 years bodybuilding is part of the Pacific Games which is an International Olympic Committee sanctioned event. In order to represent Guam in any sport you must meet the GNOC Residency requirements which states that you must have lived on Guam for 5 consecutive years and filed your taxes here. In this case even though you may have won your division or the overall title at the GNPC BB&BF Championships you can not represent Guam for bodybuilding at the Pacific Games or Asian Games as these events fall under the sanctioning of the IOC.
